Ann E. Moss, 43, of Springfield died in Mercy Medical Center at 5:20 a.m., Thursday, December 1, 1994 following ten months illness. She was born January 29, 1951 in Huntington, Indiana, the daughter of Floyd and Katherine (Stonebraker) Thomas and had been a Springfield resident since 1983. Mrs. Moss earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of Illinois. She had worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Community Hospital for the past ten years and was a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Mrs. Moss was also a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in North Hampton. She is survived by her husband, David "Mike" Moss; her mother of Bradenton, Florida; three sons, Geoff, Stephen, and Matt T. Moss, all at home; two brothers, Mike Thomas of Markle, Indiana and Joe Thomas of Huntington, Indiana; three nieces, Tami, Angie and Andrea Thomas; four nephews, Todd, Scott, Jason, and Andrew Thomas; mother-in-law, Betty Moss; brother-in-law, John Moss; two sisters-in-law, Patty Needham all of New Albany, Indiana and Mary Chesser of Bloomfield, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Stan Thomas; and father-in-law, Don Moss. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday in the Richards, Raff and Dunbar Memorial Home. A memorial service will be held at 10:45 a.m., Monday in the Asbury United Methodist Church with Reverend Steve Hayes officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 104 East Clark Street, North Hampton, 45349.
