Marion J. Stonebraker, 88, a former resident of Huntington, died at noon Tuesday (Nov. 3, 1987) at the Freedom Care Pavilion, Bradenton, Fl. Mr. Stonebraker was a World War I Army Veteran. He retired as a clerk from the Erie-Lackawana Railroad in 1964 after 48 years of employment. He moved from Huntington to Florida in 1979. He was a former member of the Bible Baptist Church, Huntington, and a current member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Bradenton, Fl. He was born January 12, 1899, in Huntington, to C. Elmer and Catherine Rhoads Stonebraker. His marriage was March 27, 1921, in Marion, Ohio, to the former Mildred R. Hinklin. His wife survives. Additional survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Kathryn Thomas, Bradenton Fla. and Mrs. Gerald (Gene) Heindselman, Elkhart; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers. Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle. Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Robert Manes and Rev. Mike Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Preferred memorials are contributions to the Alzheimers Disease or Related Orders Association.

Floyd Sr. and Mary Alice (Bayha) Thomas shared a wedding anniversary with their daughter-in-law's parents, Marion Joseph and Mildred Ruth (Hinklin) Stonebraker - not just on the same month and day, but the same year. The couples were both resident in Huntington Cty, Indiana, and were able to hold joint anniversary parties at times over the years.
