Narrative

A public Ancestry.com tree (owner "granite24") gives his wife's name as Mary May Keeney (b. 23 Feb 1925 in Coffeyville, Montgomery Cty, Kansas), with no death date or location given for either of them. No marriage date is included, though there seem to be somewhere between six and nine children.

ADDENDUM: There is a US Social Security Death index record for a Mary M. Keeney in Coos Cty, Oregon with the birthdate noted above and a death date of October 1992. The name "Mary Keeney" seems to be very common, suggesting that the Ancestry.com tree (above) may have the wrong dates attributed to the spouse of Norman; it's also possible that they divorced and she took her maiden name back afterward. It's also possible that his spouse bore a different name than what I've found so far; Carolyn (Stargard) Nagel, Norman's niece, doesn't recall his wife's name.

SECOND ADDENDUM: The obituary for his daughter, J.D. (Thompson) Raaz, names his parents Norman E. and Mary May (Keeney) Thompson. It would seem likely that the Ancestry.com tree does indeed have an incorrect record attribution to the Mary May that married Norman.
