Narrative
Note: The family of Sarah C. (Weible) Welch
Sarah's husband, Dennis, was a widower in his late thirties when the two of them married; he'd had at least four children from his first marriage (Ben, Edith, Alice, and Ella) living with the two of them several years after their marriage in late 1871, as counted in the 1880 US Census. After Sarah's death in her mid-forties, Dennis raised their children alone, sometimes with help from his family (his sister Lillie was counted in his household in the 1900 US Census). In his later years, Dennis lived with his daughter Alice and her family prior to his death in 1911.
Sarah and Dennis had five children - one daughter, a pair of twin boys, and then two more sons. Of the five, one of the twins (Edgar) died at the age of seven months, while the youngest (Clifton) died at the age of ten months. Sarah died a month after Clifton.
Of the remaining children, sons Frederick and Bruce each married and had children and grandchildren, while daughter Anna Alecta married and had two children, neither of whom appear to have had any children themselves that I have been able to determine thus far.
