Narrative

Note: The children of Anna Mary (Weible) Fisher

Anna Mary and her husband Henry Fisher appear to have had at least five children, though I can find records of only two of them in adulthood, suggesting they may have been the only surviving siblings.

- Oldest child Anna appears as a six-year-old girl in the 1870 US Census, and as a fourteen-year-old girl in the 1880 US Census, but does not seem to appear in any records I can positively identify after that.

- Second child (and only son) John lived with his parents until their deaths; his youngest sister died in the same time period, and her children lived with him for a short handful of years until their deaths of tuberculosis as young adults. Some time later, he would marry in middle age, become a widower, and marry again until his death in 1945. He had no children.

- The middle child is named Mary J. in the 1870 US Census, listed as a nine-month-old girl, and named Josie in the 1880 US Census, age nine. I suspect her full name is Mary Josephine, but I have found no confirmation of that, and I have found no further record of her after that last mentioned census record.

- Bertha, fourth child, appears only in the 1880 US Census as a seven-year-old. There is a death record on 21 Oct 1882 in Van Wert Cty, Ohio for a Bertha A.C. Fisher, aged ten, with no cause of death given; it is not certain to me whether this record applied to Henry and Anna Mary's daughter. I have not found any further potential record for her.

- Youngest child Elizabeth is listed as "Lizzie," aged four, in the 1880 US Census, and would be found living with her parents and older brother in the 1900 and 1910 US Census. She married twice, appears to have divorced both times, and had two children from her first marriage, both of whom would follow her in death as young adults.

The only grandchildren that I can confirm for Anna Mary and Henry were Agnes and Frederick, Lizzie's children, and they did not live to marry or have children themselves. Unless one of the other daughters survived to marry, it appears that Anna Mary's line ended with those two.
