[headline] Robert L. Thomas Claimed by Death
Robert L. Thomas, 30, died at 9 p.m. Sunday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Thomas, who reside eight miles east of Huntington on the Union Center Road. Death was attributed to sleeping sickness, from which he had suffered since the age of 14 years.
Mr. Thomas was born Feb. 2, 1927m the son of Floyd and Mary A. Bayha Thomas.
He was a member of the Markle Methodist Church.
Survivors include the parents; a sister, Miss Jane Anne Thomas, at home; three brother, Floyd Thomas Jr. and R. Dean Thomas, both of Huntington Route 3, and John Phillip Thomas, at home, and a grandmother, Mrs. Effie Bayha, Huntington Route 3.
The body was removed to the Funderberg Funeral Home at Markle and will be taken to the residence where friends may call after 7:30 p.m. today.
Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the residence, with Rev. Clark W. Meyers officiating. Burial will be in the Haverstock Cemetery at Zanesville.
