Narrative

Note: Researching Gustav Schoen

The only records I can find of Gustav Schoen are his entry in the 1870 US Census record for the household of his father (Charles Sr.) in Ixonia, Jefferson Cty, Wisconsin, and a death record for 17 Nov 1898 in Waukesha, Waukesha Cty, Wisconsin. He died at the age of twenty-nine, and he shares a gravestone with his brother Louie (b. 1866), so I would imagine he died unmarried and likely without children.

ADDENDUM: His obituary (clipping provided by the Dodge-Jefferson Counties Genealogical Society) mentions no wife or children amongst his survivors.

Narrative

[Obituary for Gustav Schoen, reprinted in another publication from the Union Correspondent, 25 Nov 1898.]

His remains will be interred at La Belle Cemetery.
