Robert H. Nagel, lifelong resident of the town of Hustisford, died Monday at Hartford Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness.

Mr. Nagel was born on August 30, 1899 in the town of Hustisford, the son of Ernst and Anna Lehman Nagel. He married the former Erna Schwantes on August 27, 1933 at Horicon. Mr. Nagel was a farmer and machinist. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford.

He is survived by his wife, route 1, Neosho, twelve children: Norma, Mrs. William Tunak, Ashippun; Robert Nagel Jr., Horicon; Doris, Mrs. Donald Kanzenbach, Jefferson; Harvey Nagel, r.2, Watertown; Ann, Mrs. Marlin Schuett, Mayville, Lucille, Mrs. Richard Fredrick, Oconomowoc; Lorraine, Mrs. Norbert Neu, Hartford; Elda, Mrs. Glen Schuett, r.1, Juneau; Janice, Mrs. Kenneth Watson, Oconomowoc; Carol, Mrs. Michael Hoppenrath, Rancho Cordova, Calif.; Dianne, Mrs. Lyndell Leitzke, r.1, Neosho and Miss Marilyn Nagel, Fond du Lac.

There are 35 grandchildren. He is further survived by two brothers Fred and Frank Nagel of Ashippun; and three sisters, Elsie, Mrs. Leonard Wolter, Oconomowoc; Mrs. Linda Hein, Woodland and Ida, Mrs. Ransom Endres, Hartford.

Funeral services were held at Bethany Lutheran Church, Hustisford on Thursday, September 6th at 2 p.m., with Rev. E.B. Froehlich officiating. Burial will be in the Hustisford cemetery. He will lie in state at the Berndt Funeral Home, Hustisford, Wednesday after 4 p.m. and Thursday until 11 a.m., and in the church from noon to the time of services.
