Narrative

There may well have been _two_ families in Hustisford in the mid-1800s consisting of a Fred Lehmann and a Henrietta Melcher; in addition to the pair that bore Anna Lehmann (future wife of Ernst Nagel), there also may have been a pair that left Wisconsin in 1868 and relocated to Nebraska, parents of a Frank Lehmann who was an early settler of Madison County, Nebraska. Census records seem to indicate both a Fred Lehmann and a Henrietta Lehmann still present in Hustisford well past the recorded relocation of the other pair.

Additionally, there is a Fred Lehmann of the appropriate age featured in a Hustisford history text, including a photo of him at age eighty in 1914. I'll need to look that up.

Fred may have also had a pair of sisters - Louise, m. Kulike, who appears to have died in 1923 and is buried in Dodge Cty; and Maria, m. Fellwock. Finding them may help find additional records for Fred and his parents.

ADDENDUM: In the course of my research on the Melcher family line in our tree, I've discovered a multitude of Melcher families in Dodge Cty, Wisconsin in the 1850s and forward. Many of them used the same small number of names, leading to a lot of confusion in the records. Additionally, at least a few of these families did relocate to Nebraska by 1870, so it seems likely my original presumption (two couples of about the same age with the same names) may be correct.

Narrative

There is a record for a Lehman family in the 1870 US Census in Hustisford, Dodge Cty, Wisconsin that I believe corresponds to Friedrick and his wife Henrietta, though there are some significant errors in the record - notably in the husband's name and age, along with some phonetic errors in other given names. Most of their children's names and ages line up, though, so I believe this record applies to the family in our tree.
