Note: Viola Stargard

Viola, known as "Aunt Oly" to her siblings' families, never married and had no children. Her later years were spent in the house that had been her parents' home in Oconomowoc, on the corner of 2nd Street and Worthington Street.

[Obituary for Viola Stargard, from the Oconomowoc Enterprise, 29 Jul 1976.]

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 29, for Viola Stargard, 75, of 140 S. Worthington St. She died Monday at Watertown Skilled Care Center, where she had been for the past eight days.

The services, officiated by the Rev. C.H. Clausing, will begin at 2 p.m. in St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church and burial will be in LaBelle Cemetery. Visitation was at Kreutzmann Funeral Home after 4 p.m., Wednesday, and will be at the church from noon until the time of the services.

Miss Stargard, a native of Summit, was the daughter of Julius and Matilda Wendt Stargard. She was born Aug. 21, 1900.

She was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a brother, Herbert (Marie) Stargard, Sparta; cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Memorials to St. Paul's Ev. Church's building fund are suggested.
