He was born Sept. 7, 1917, in the town of Oconomowoc to the late Ernst and Esther (Stargard) Rosenow.

He married the former Shirley Vetter in Oconomowoc on Oct. 7, 1949.

He was retired from the Waukesha County Highway Department. He was a member of the Oconomowoc Masonic Lodge No. 42, was a town of Oconomowoc supervisor for 12 years and town chairman from 1967 to 1973. He also farmed in the town of Oconomowoc and was a member of the Mapleton Hook & Shell Club.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; one daughter, Lynn (Ronald) Hoffmann, Oconomowoc; one son, Wayne (Mary Alice) Rosenow, Ixonia; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a cousin, Henry (Dorothy) Rosenow, Oconomowoc; other relatives; and friends.

Narrative

Note: Clarence Rosenow

Family members recall that Clarence was cremated; additionally, no interment information is included in his obituary.

It's also recalled that his wife was divorced from her first husband, and that her daughter Lynn and son Wayne were the children of her first marriage; Clarence was presumed to have adopted one or both of them. It is also presumed at this point that he and his wife had no children of their own, but I have not confirmed this as of yet.
