Narrative

Note: Violet Emma Simon

Violet appears to have left her parents' home in Mapleton, Blue Earth Cty, Minnesota as a young woman; in the 1920 US Census, she was living in a boarding house a few counties away in Weimer Twp, Jackson Cty, with her occupation listed as a bookkeeper for a lumber office. By the time of the 1930 US Census, she was living in San Antonio, Bexar Cty, Texas, with her mother (Frances) and younger brother (Franklin), with her occupation listed as a contractor engaged in home building. By the time of the 1940 US Census, her mother had gone to Detroit to live with Violet's youngest sister, Adelia, and Adelia's husband, while Violet was counted as a roomer in the household of Bert and Marjorie Fry in San Antonio, this time with her occupation listed as "owner - recreation."

After that, the most recent record I can find for her are her death records from Bexar Cty. Violet appears to have had no children or ever married, and I have not yet found a burial listing for her.
