Narrative

[Obituary for George F. Stuver; clipping from the files of Jane Anne Thomas, believed to be from the 15 Mar 1901 issue of the Huntington Weekly Herald.]

[headline] Hand of Death
[second line] George F. Stuver, of Warren Township, is Dead.

George Franklin Stuver died at the home of his father, Jacob Stuver, in Warren Township, Monday evening of consumption. Deceased was forty-three years old last November. He was born in Northampton county, Pa., and was a brother to Constable Al Stuver, of this city. He was a widower, his wife having died some years ago. He leaves two children to mourn his death. The funeral was held Thursday, meeting at the residence at 9 o'clock. Interment was made at Beech Grove, Rev. Brightmire, or Andrews officiating.

Narrative

Note: Interment of George Franklin Stuver

George's obituary gives his burial as Beech Grove Cemetery in Huntington, Huntington Cty, Indiana; there is no listing for him on the FindaGrave.com website, but this is likely just because his stone would be quite old and may be missing or illegible. Many members of his wife's family are buried there, so it seems quite likely that both he and Hulda are buried there as well.
