Narrative

Note: Continuation of the Stuver surname

Despite the size of the extended Stuver family - there were over twenty grandchildren of Jacob Sr. and Anna (Dorn) Stuver born - Arva was one of only six grandsons that bore the Stuver surname. Of those six, four had no children at all, and the fifth (Henry Stuver, son of Edward Stuver) had only daughters (who died in infancy or childhood). This left Arva as the only Stuver cousin who had male children, as he had five children, three of them sons.

Of his sons' families, Clayton Wayne Stuver had three daughters, George Stuver had two sons (Richard and Darrell) and a daughter, and Oscar's family status is not known at this time. (Oscar is buried with his parents, wth a stone marked "son," so I suspect he may have been unmarried and without children.) At this time, I believe George's sons (and their children, if any) are the last descendants of Jacob Sr. and Anna who still bear the Stuver surname.
