Narrative

I have not yet ascertained whether John Bayha married or had children. Jane Anne has neither spouse nor children for John in her notes; she also reports his place of death as Kansas City, MO in 1927.

The 1910 and 1920 US Census records for him in Sherman, Clay Cty, Kansas show him without wife or children, and list him as single.

ADDENDUM: I have to admit that the twenty-year gap in records for John Frederick (between 1880, in his father's household in Indiana, and 1900, living with another man in Kansas) does leave room for a wife and children. Further complicating this potential speculating is an envelope marked "Kansas City Bayha Relatives" in Jane Anne's files, which has additional notes on the back by Jean Pasko. Some of these notes include "John Bayha's wife," and several antique photographs inside the envelope with names matching the outside. I will have to look into this much more closely.
