Narrative

[Obituary for Alfred Forst, from the Huntington Herald-Press, 22 Aug 1933; from the files of Jane Anne Thomas.]

Alfred Forst, seventy-two, died at 11:15 o'clock Saturday night at his home, 620 Division street. He had been ailing for the last year and was bedfast for two weeks. Death was due to complications.

Mr. Forst was born in Warren township to Conrad and Sarah Forst, February 12, 1861. His marriage was to Margaret Bersch in Warren township. The lived in Warren township until twenty-one years ago.

The widow, three children, Raymond C. Forst, Noblesville, Mrs. Gertrude Vergon, Warren township; Delbert D. Forst, White Pigeon, Mich.; seven grandchildren; a brother, Emmett Forst, Chicago; and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Rothermel, Warren; and Mrs. Marie Campbell, Kendallville, survive.

Funeral services for Alfred Forst were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Clear Creek church with the Rev. C.A. Thorn officiating.
