Delbert D Forst, 55, a native of Huntington county and for the last 15 years a resident of Elkhart, died at 4:40 am. Sunday at the Elkhart General hospital after a serious illness of four weeks. He had been in failing health for a year.
Mr. Forst, who was in the dressed poultry business at South Bend, was born November 19, 1896, in Huntington County to Alfred and Martha E. Bersch Forst. He never married. He was a member of the local Elks lodge and attended the Evangelical United Brethren Church here.
Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Martha E. Forst, and a brother, Ray C. Forst, both of this city, and a sister, Mrs. Harold Vergon, Clear Creek township.
The body will be brought to the Robbins Funeral home in this city where friends may call after 1 pm Tuesday and where funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm. Wednesday with the Rev. A. H. Sholty officiating.
Burial will be in the Clear Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were members of the Elks lodge - Forest L. Cook, Harry Clinger, Walter C. Miller, Roy H. Bucher, Hugh Hartman and Frank H. Phillley.
