Mrs. Martha Elizabeth (Bersch) Forst, 86, a native and life-long resident of Huntington County, died at 12:20 am. Monday at the home of her son, Ray C. Forst, 620 Division Street. She had been ill for the past two years and seriously ill for the past week.

Mrs. Forst was born September 28, 1866 in Huntington County to John and Anna (Wise) Bersch. She married Alfred Forst in Huntington in 1887. He died August 19, 1933. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church here.

Besides the son, Mrs. Forst is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harold Vergon, Clear Creek Township; seven grandchildren, Albert Forst, Huntington; Mrs. Irene Conrad, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Mary Lou Yenowine, Orleans, Ind.; Miss Helen Forst, Fort Wayne; Paul Vergon, Plain Hart, Calif., Dwight Vergon, Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Martha Jean Pfeiffer, Huntington, and eight great-grandchildren. A son, Delbert, a sister and a half-brother, preceded her in death.

The body was removed to the Robbins Funeral Home where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am. Wednesday at the Robbins Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Hostetler and the Rev. Ivan R. Woods officiating. Music was by Mrs. Stanley Steel at the organ.

Pallbearers were Guy Brookover, George Dinius, Frank Sands, Roy Howell, Leroy Dolby and H. O. Rice. Burial will be in the Clear Creek Cemetery.
