Narrative

In the 1930 US Census, the listing for Wilford's household included only himself and his wife, five month's pregnant with their first child (Bonnie L. Trullender, b. 22 Aug 1930). By the time of the 1940 US Census, though, their household included not just Bonnie and infant son David, but also listed was a twelve-year-old girl named Mary Lou Trullender in the record. I have not found any further record of Mary Lou at this point, and have assumed that she was taken in by the couple for at least some time, but I do not believe she was their biological or adopted daughter. Wilford's 1997 obituary does not make any mention of Mary Lou, nor did his daughter Bonnie's obituary from 1975.
