Narrative

[Obituary for Bonnie L. Frauhiger, from the Bluffton News-Banner, 29 May 1975.]

Mrs. Bonnie L. Frauhiger, 44, wife of Oscar (Bud) Frauhiger of Bluffton Route 4, died unexpectedly at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at her home. Wells County Coroner Howard Rich stated that an autopsy was to be preformed today and that results as to the cause of death would not be known for several weeks. Present at the scene in the North Oaks subdivision were Rich and Sheriff's Deputy Richard Sark.

Officials said the woman was found in the backyard in a lawn chair by a daughter who had returned home from school. Mrs. Frauhiger apparently had been sunbathing. The county ambulance was summoned and in the meantime, a neighbor, Mrs. Eunice Rosie, who is a nurse, administered first aid.

Ambulance personnel called for police and Rich upon arriving at the home.

Born Aug. 22, 1930 in Bluffton, Mrs. Frauhiger was a daughter of Wilford and Bergie Noble Trullender, who resided at 827 West Lancaster St. Her marriage to Mr. Frauhiger, who survives, took place Aug. 20, 1950 in Bluffton.

Mrs. Frauhiger, a lifelong resident of Wells County, was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church and employed at Magnavox Co.

Surviving, in addition to the husband and parents, are two daughters, Boni Jo and Billi Jo, both at home; a son, Buddy Jo, of Keystone Route 1, and one grandchild. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Thoma-Rich Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Daniel Steiner and Alton Miller officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
