Doyle E. "Pete" Espich, 84, died Saturday at his home. Born in Zanesville, he retired from GE in 1974 after 35 years, and was also a co-owner of Kozy Court Inc. He was a former Rock Creek Township trustee, and a volunteer firefighter for the Uniondale Fire Department for 55 years. His wife, Helen M., died in 1982. Surviving are a son, State Rep. Jeffrey K. of Uniondale; a daughter, Marcia K. Gabet of Grabill; two brothers, Arnold of Louisville, Ky., and Ed of Markle; a sister, Marjorie Fisher of Kentland; and three grandchildren.

Services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Uniondale United Methodist Church. Calling from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Elzey & Haggard Funeral Home, Ossian, and an hour before services at the church. Burial in Horeb Cemetery, Wells County. Memorials to the Church.
