[headline] Mrs. Joe Sovine Dies at Age 80

Mrs. Clara Matilda Sovine, 80, wife of Joe Sovine of Craigville Route 1, died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday at the Sovine home on the Well-Adams County line. Death was due to a coronary thrombosis.

A native of Huntington County, she had resided most of her life in Wells and Adams Counties. She was born Sept. 10, 1887, a daughter of John and Nancy Jane Dewitt Call. Her marriage to Mr. Sovine took place April 7, 1917 at Tocsin.

The last of a family of three brothers and two sisters, she is survived, in addition to her husband, by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Goodwin Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Fred Pflough of Claypool, formerly of Craigville, will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.
