George W. Hinklin, 80, a resident of Prospect about 25 years ago, died August 19, at the home of his son in Toledo. Death was caused by paralysis.
He is survived by five sons and one daughter. His wife died a few years ago.

The deceased lived in Prospect at the time the National Mill was located here, he being an employee of this concern. The Hinklins came to Prospect from LaRue.
Narrative
Note: Surviving children of George W. Hinklin
George W. Hinklin's obituary states that he is survived by five sons and one daughter (all unnamed); the obituary for his wife, Mary Amanda Hoover, just two years prior mentions by name (or initials) four sons and one daughter.
Narrative
Note: Birthplace of George Washington Hinklin
While the death records available for George Washington Hinklin all give his place of birth as LaRue, Marion Cty, Ohio, both he and his father were very consistent in reporting his birthplace as Indiana in all census records found. His oldest siblings all seem to have been born in Indiana and Iowa, with the younger siblings all born in Ohio, suggesting that George's father Henry moved the family around the central Midwest somewhat in his early adulthood.
I have not yet found confirmation of George's presumed birth in Indiana, such as a birth record. I also do not yet have information on what livelihood his father Henry pursued such that the family moved around so much in their early years.
