Narrative

It is presumed, coming from two German heritages, that Minnie's given name is Wilhelminne or similar. I have not confirmed this.

In her notes, Jane Anne Thomas writes that Minnie's first husband, John Lander (whom she married in April 1904) died sometime around 1905; Minnie is listed as a widow in the 1910 US census, living with her sister Adda. She married Charles White sometime in 1914.

Included in Jane Anne's files are clippings of the birth, the sickness, and the death of the infant child of Minnie and Jack (John) Lander, over the course of early January through mid-March 1905; all but one of the clippings call the child a daughter, with one (mentioning a visit by Minnie's sister Adda (Oman) Baumgardner to see her dangerously sick nephew) naming the child a boy.

ADDENDUM: John T. Lander is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Bluffton, Wells Cty, Indiana; the listing on FindaGrave.com gives a birthdate of 1880, and a death date of 14 Sep 1907. No listing is found for an infant child Lander on the website, though it is presumed the child would have been buried there as well.
