The Hyphen Family Lineage

Note: Researching Iva/Zoa McGuire

I am uncertain as to this daughter's actual name, or even whether this is one person or two at this point. The earliest record I have found so far is the 1900 US Census record for her father's household in Montgomery, Marion Cty, Ohio, which names her Iva, age eleven. Interestingly, she also seems to be listed in the household of Sauffa Winter in Marion, Marion Cty, Ohio; here she is listed as niece Zoa, age eleven, and appears with another niece "Mellie," age twelve, which would be her sister Nellie. Both of these census records report the birthdate in question as October 1889.

She then appears in a 1908 marriage record in Marion Cty, Ohio, to Armand H. Monahan; that same man (with the same parents) appears in another marriage record in 1916 (also in Marion Cty, Ohio) to Ruth Alice Mauller, which suggested to me that he and Zoa may have divorced, or she may have died, by 1916.

The only 1910 US Census listing I've found for any combination of given name (Iva or Zoa) and surname (McGuire or Monahan) is another Marion listing, this time the household of Samuel Bouts with twenty-year-old niece Zoa. Additionally, there is also an eighteen-year-old nephew, Jame McGuire, in the same household; I have no other indication of such a sibling from the McGuire family otherwise, which has me questioning whether this Zoa is connected to the family of James Logan McGuire and Mary Ellen Hinklin.
