Narrative
Note: Researching Lucille Marie French and family
Other than publicly-accessible family trees and other information online, I have not yet found much information about Lucille and her household after she was counted in her parents' house in the 1940 US Census. There is a marriage record from 1941 from Chelan Cty, Washington for Lucille French and Jack A. Gloyn, for which Jack's mother had to sign, as he was apparently still considered a minor, aged eighteen; his mother's name is given only as "Mrs. Wm Gloyn." No mention is made of Lucille's parents, and no birthdates were given for either party, just ages - Lucille being listed as aged twenty.
Jack listed his birthplace as "Turner, Montana," which would appear to be Turner, Blaine Cty, Montana. There is a household for William F. Gloyn in the 1920 US Census in the "Turner School District" in Blaine Cty, Montana; this same household can be found in Wenatchee, Chelan Cty, Washington in 1930, and in South Bridge, Douglas Cty, Washington in 1940. Jack appears to be the oldest child of William's second marriage, and aside from his younger sister Nellie Lucille, the only one to survive to adulthood.
On census records, his Social Security Death Index record, and his marriage license, his name is given as Jack; on his Lucille's death record, and on his own Oregon death record, his name is given as John. His middle name is given only on that Oregon death record (as Raymond), but his middle initial appears alternately on many records as "A" or "R." I suspect the listings with "A" are all in error, as a closer inspection of Jack's handwriting shows that his capital "R" closely resembles an "A."
Jack appears to have remarried after Lucille's death, as his Oregon death record gives his spouse as "Juanit Gloyn." This would appear to be Juanita Gloyn (b. 23 Dec 1923, d. 7 Feb 2000), though I have not found a marriage record for the two, nor any further information on Juanita's maiden name. I have not found burial locations for either Jack or Juanita. Additionally, this same death record names Jack "Sr.," and looking for a younger namesake does turn up a man by that born in the early 1950s and living in Wenatchee, Chelan Cty, Washington in the early 2000s.
The only other indication I have found of children born to Jack and Lucille is a listing on the FindaGrave.com website connected to the listing for Lucille's burial, for Linda (Gloyn) Evans (b. 6 Sep 1950, d. 4 Mar 1985). I have not yet found any further information about other children or grandchildren for Lucille.
