Narrative

Note: Holland Burns Weible and family

Finding information on Holland's children and grandchildren has been somewhat difficult, despite what should have been a relatively unique nameset, owing mostly to gaps in the records available. Of his six children, I only have complete vital dates for his three sons, along with their marital history and at least some of their children's information. For the other three, the following is the extent of what I have:

- Cary, the oldest of the six, is found counted in her parents' household in both the 1910 and 1920 US Census records, but after that I have not found anything confirmed for her.

- Alta, the second born, is counted in those same two census records as Cary, and then is recorded as marrying Clarence Medlem in St. Joseph Cty, Michigan in February 1926. Clarence remarried just days less than a year later in Elkhart Cty, Indiana, suggesting that his marriage to Alta did not last, but I have not found any reference for her after their marriage record.

- Bessie Lucille, the fourth born, is counted in the 1920 US Census record with her parents, and the next record I can find for her is her LaGrange Cty, Indiana marriage to English-born Charles Dominic Hannon in August 1939 (in which she gives her residence as Michigan). Months later the two of them are counted in the 1940 US Census in Detroit, Wayne Cty, Michigan, and I have not found further confirmed records for either of them after that.

I would find it likely that at least a few more of these children of Holland's managed to survive, marry, and have children, but at this point I do not have enough information to more completely present his descendancy.
