Narrative

Note: The marriages and children of Rillmond M. Weible

Rillmond's first marriage, to Laura L. Deck, seems to have last at least ten years, but also appears to have produced no children. He and Laura were counted in the 1900 US Census in Brown Twp, Pauling Cty, Ohio in early June of that year, but by late November that same year he had divorced Laura and remarried to Mary Lou (Carry) Christy, a young widow in her mid-thirties. Laura would go on to remarry a year later to Samuel Caskey; I have not yet found any information for her after that record.

Rillmond and his second wife, Mary Lou, would go on to have two daughters - Helen and Hilda. The four of them were counted in the 1910 US Census in Brown Twp along with Mary Lou's teenaged son Edgar Christy (one of at least two children from her first marriage), and in the 1920 Census it was just the four of them, as Edgar had moved to Tulsa, Tulsa Cty, Oklahoma by then. In the 1930 US Census Helen was counted as living with her stepbrother Edgar and his wife and son Edgar Jr., and a few years later she would marry to a man nearly a decade her senior. I have not found any indication that Helen had any children of her own.

The younger daughter, Hilda, married in 1927, and appears to have remained married until her death in 1985. She and her husband appear to have had three children, and at least that many grandchildren, though I have not found confirmation of names or birthdates for those following generations as of yet.

On the listing for Rillmond on the FindaGrave.com website, the supplemental information there gives him as the owner and operator of "Weible's Big Store at the corner of Main and First Streets in Oakwood for many years."
