Narrative

[Obituary for Juliaetta Bayha, paper unknown; clipping from the files of Jane Anne Thomas.]

[headline] Mrs. Bayha Passes Away

Mrs. Juliaetta Bayha, wife of G.L. Bayha, died at her home in Park Avenue, Wednesday afternoon ar 4 o'clock. The funeral will take place from the late home Saturday at 2 p.m., the interment in Monongahela cemetery.

Mrs. Bayha was born in Washington, Pa., May 24, 1849, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McFarland. Her childhood and young womanhood was spent in Washington with her parents. On January 11, 1870, she was married to George L. Bayha, and shortly after the ceremony they came to Monongahela, and took up housekeeping where they have resided continuously. She is survived by her husband and four children, Mrs. Henry Myers, Mrs. Nelson Luker, Mrs. Edward Watson, all of Monongahela and one son the Rev. George L. Bayha, of Zollarsville. One brother, Taylor McFarland, of this city, also survives.

The deceased was a member of Grace Lutheran church and died as she lived, a true christian wife ane mother, a good neighbor and friend, and one whom it was well to know. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the aged husband and grief stricken family. There is much consolation in the fact that no one who is fit to live need fear to die. To us here death is the most terrible thing we know especially when it takes a good wife and loving mother. But when we have tasted it in its reality it will mean to us birth, deliverance, and a new creation within ourselves. It is God's great morning lighting up the sky, and when we wake it will be in the sunlight of our Heavenly Father.
