Narrative
The only information I have on this child of John T. and Henrietta (Ach) Miller is from a handwritten genealogy from Mary Alice (Bayha) Thomas, likely compiled with the help of her mother Elfrieda "Effie" (Stuver) Bayha. This one-page document is a listing of Effie's maternal grandparents, George W. and Henrietta (Miller) Forst, along with their siblings and children. This list is not by any means complete, as it was likely written when Effie was quite a bit older and working from her memory and family documents.
On this list, listed last among the Miller siblings, is an entry that reads:
"a brother - Johnathan Miller of Hamilton, O.
children - a daughter Clara Miller Shields"
No other information has yet been found in the my family's files that might refer to this man. I have assumed that the "Hamilton, O." refers to Hamilton, Butler Cty, Ohio.
A cursory search of records for a John or Jonathan Miller in Ohio with birth years ranging across the first half of the 19th century yields simply too many possibilities to realistically review; narrowing the field with the inclusion of a daughter named Clara and his birthplace given as Germany does not yield any obvious matches. Further information will need to be found before I can confirm much about this purported son of John and Henrietta.
