Narrative

[Obituary for Harry L. Hops, from the Post Register, 9 Mar 1993, pB2.]

Harry L. "Tobe" Hops, 97, of Idaho Falls, died March 7, 1993, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen, of Idaho Falls; and his children, Larry Hops and Tobie Cate, both of Idaho Falls.

The body will be cremated and a private service will be scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Buck-Sullivan Funeral Home. The family asks that no memorials be sent.

Narrative

Harry's WWII draft registration card reports his birthdate as 16 Nov 1896, while both his gravestone and his US Social Security Death Index record give his birthdate as 14 Nov 1895.

His obituary indicates that he was cremated, while his listing on the FindaGrave.com website displays a photo of a memorial plaque. This suggests to me that his ashes were interred at the cemetery.
