Note: Researching the marriages and children of Robert G. Huss

Robert appears to have married at least twice - first in 1951 to Janet Arlene McIntosh (b. 1935), which presumably ended in divorce as Janet remarried in 1956 to Larry Wayne Johnston (b. 1936). I have not found vital dates, burial listings, or obituaries for either Janet or Larry, so I have no information at this time as to whether she had children from either marriage (and thus whether she and Robert had any children). I am unable to review the actual marriage record for Janet and Larry, as their marriage date was too recent for the record image to be publicly available online at this time.

Robert remarried as well, in 1957, to Norma Marcile Schoeff (b. 22 Feb 1939, d. 20 Mar 2019). This marriage date is also too recent for the record image to be publicly available online. Norma's obituary names her Norma M. Branham, and does not name any spouse, either surviving or preceding her in death. This suggests she remarried at some point after her marriage to Robert, which likely ended in divorce and not in death (per the lack of mention of Robert). Norma's obituary names two children as preceding her in death - DeWayne Lee Huss and Susan Slater - and three surviving children: son Robert Huss, daughter Constance Nuttle, and daughter Lori Brennan. Susan's obituary specifically names Robert and Norma as her parents - and this suggests that at least three of her five named children were born during her marriage to Robert.

As mentioned above, I have no information as to whether Robert had any children from his first marriage, though the lack of any additional siblings or half-siblings named in Susan's obituary suggests that he did not. I have also not found confirmation that Robert and Norma divorced, nor any indication of a divorce date. Norma's obituary says she had six grandchildren surviving her, and it seems likely to me that these are all descendants of Robert's. Given his young age at death, it seems likely to me that he did not live to see any of these grandchildren born.
