Funeral services were held Monday at Wesleyan Church in Ashley with Rev. Norman Rice officiating for David W. Beckley, 16, of Ashley. Beckley died of injuries suffered in an auto accident occurring at 7:40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17.
Beckley was a member of Ashley Wesleyan Church and was active in the youth society at the church and at the district level as well as being a participant in the Bike-A-Thon.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Beckley of Ashley; a brother, John of Bucyrus; 2 sisters, Deborah and Rachel at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Beckley of Richwood and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Penhorwood of Ashley.
Burial was in Ashley Cemetery.
