Narrative

I have not found a marriage record for Carol to either Otto Ed Duebbe (the presumed husband with whom she is buried), nor to anyone else. Carol died in 1981, and Otto followed four years later; the inscription on his sidee of their shared stone is incomplete, with the death date left blank. This suggests to me that the two of them had no surviving children to attend to this matter.

Interestingly, the listing for Carol on the FindaGrave.com website lists her as the mother for a Daniel Jay Scaff (b. 24 Jun 1956, d. 8 Sep 1956), buried in Elsinore Valley Cemetery in Lake Elsinore, Riverside Cty, California. There is a California Birth Index record for Daniel In Riverside Cty which lists the mother's name as "Ray," with no father's name given on the indexed record. There is also a California Death Index record from the same county which lists parents' surnames as "Ray" and "Scaff," but with no further information available from the indexed record.

I would guess that this child was born to Carol prior to her wedding to Otto, but I have not found further information to address this question.
