Edward H. Watson, 80, of 522 Eighth St., Clairton, died early today in a Pittsburgh hospital. Son of the late Thomas and Mary Sweeney Watson, he was born Jan. 6, 1877, in Dravosburg. He was a member of the Pine Run Methodist Church and before retirement was employed in river transportation for U.S. Steel Corp.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret Bayha Watson; a daughter, Mrs. Kathrine Hughes of Clairton; two sons, Lewis E. and Thomas A. Watson, both of Wilson; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Richards of Troy, O.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Beginning at 7 p.m. tomorrow, the family will receive friends from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. at the J. Sam Whetsel Funeral Home, Wilson District, Clairton. Services are scheduled there for 1:30 p.m. Monday with the Rev. George W. Stump officiating. Burial will take place in Jefferson Memorial Park.
