Narrative

Opal is buried in Union Cemetery in Union Twp, Huntington Cty, Indiana; her stone appears in a row with other members of her family, while Arthur Leroy "Roy" Cheesman, her husband, is buried in Gardens of Memory, Huntington, Huntington Cty, Indiana, with his second wife Fern. Roy survived Opal by nearly nine years, so it is possible that he remarried after her death, but I suspect they divorced sometime prior to Opal's death, as her stone appears to be a "stand-alone" and not the type usually employed for married couples.

I have not found any record of divorce for Opal and Roy, nor have I found a marriage record for Roy and Fern that might shed some light on their marital history.
