Narrative

Leonard appears to have married only once - to Laura Belle Drummond in 1935, from whom he was divorced in 1946. Laura remarried ten days after the divorce, to the much-younger Harvey Roy Milligan (from whom she was divorced in 1949). I have not found further record of Laura after her marriage to Harvey.

I do not have a specific death date for Leonard, though his burial listing gives the year of his death as 1947. I would guess, from the rapid succession of events (his divorce, his wife's rapid remarriage, and his death just months later), that his last months were a very emotional and compllicated time, and his death may be related to that tumult, but this is only speculation on my part.

Living with Leonard and Laura in the 1940 US Census was only Laura's younger brother Paul Drummond, with no children of their own present in the listing. I have not found any records to indicate that Leonard had any children prior to his death.
