Mrs. Flora Ellen Forst, 82, a former resident of this city, widow of Emery Forst, died at 11:45 Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Homer B. Wiltse, at Dayton, O., following an illness of two weeks from pneumonia.

She was a native of Huntington county, where she was born Oct. 24, 1861, a daughter of John and Catherine Leiniger Doub. Her marriage to Emery Forst took place at Huntington in 1882.

Following their marriage the couple resided in this city over a long period of years and Mr. Forst was identified with business firms here. He and his brother, the late Frank Forst, operated a grocery store on Market street opposite the court house many years. His death occurred in 1916.

Mrs. Forst was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Wiltse; a brother, John W. Doub of Huntington; a sister, Mrs. Malinda Smith, of Columbia City; five grandsons and five great-grandchildren. A son, Earl, is deceased.

The body was removed Sunday to the funeral home here of J.A. McBride & Son, where funeral services were conducted this afternoon in charge of Rev. A.K. Kortelin. Interment was in Fairview cemetery.
