Narrative

Note: Researching Clarence Emmet Weible

I have had some trouble finding relatively complete records and history for Clarence and his family. He appeared to work for the railroads, and likely made himself and his family somewhat itinerant in the process. He and his wife, Agnes F. Miller, married sometime between 1920 and 1930, and were recorded in the 1930 US Census living in Coffeyville, Montgomery Cty, Kansas. I have not found listings for the two of them (or their two sons, Joseph and James Patrick, born in 1934 and 1938, respectively) in the 1940 US Census, though I will note that the indexed obituary for James Patrick (called "Pat") gives his birthplace as "Alexandria, Louisiana."

Agnes died in late summer of 1954, just a handful of weeks before her fifty-second birthday, and it appears that Clarence may have remarried - there is a marriage record for Clarence E. Weible in Kay Cty, Oklahoma on 11 Feb 1955 to Carlene St. John, though whether this record applies to our Clarence is not known.

I also have not determined if Clarence had any further children beyond Joe and Pat, nor if the two boys ever married or had children of their own. The brothers are buried with a shared headstone in the same cemetery as their parents, which suggests that, at least at the times of their deaths, they may have been unmarried or divorced.
