Narrative

Note: The family of Albert Lowell Weible

Albert and his wife Elizabeth appear to have had only three children during their years in Ohio. Of those, two seem to have survived into adulthood - middle child Zelda appears in the records only in the 1900 US Census listing for the family's household, as a two-year-old girl, and is absent by the time of the next census, suggesting she had died as a young girl. (I have found no other records for Zelda, including those for her birth or death, nor a burial location.) The other two, Elizabeth Keel and Lowell Albert, stayed with their parents through the family's years in Ohio and moved with them to Los Angeles, Los Angeles Cty, California sometime between 1920 and 1923 (when Elizabeth is recorded as marrying in Los Angeles Cty).

While daughter Elizabeth would remain married for twenty years or more and give her parents at least four grandchildren prior to her divorce from her first husband, the records suggest their son Lowell never married and suffered some form of mental handicap. He is counted twice in the 1930 US Census - both in his parents' household in Los Angeles as well as in the Vineland Training School in Landis, Cumberland Cty, New Jersey, a home for study and care of adults with cognitive disabilities. He would remain there at least through 1940, where he is counted in the next census.

I have found a death record for Albert in the sping of 1944, as well as a burial listing (with only a death date) for him in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Los Angeles Cty on the FindaGrave.com website. That same site contains listings for his wife Elizabeth with no completed vital dates, as well as for "Lowell Albert Weible" with only a death date in 1957. Whether the date of 1957 applies to Elizabeth or to their son Lowell is unclear at this point, absent any grave photos or other information. I have found no death record for either Elizabeth or Lowell.

Returning to eldest daughter Elizabeth, she appears to have spent the second half of her life in Kern Cty, California, where she died in early 1982. I have not found a burial location for her as of yet.
