Retired Rock Creek Township farmer and a resident of this city the last 10 years. Oscar Lantis, 93, died at 9:05 am today in the Huntington County Hospital where he had been a patient the last week having been taken there from his home when he became seriously ill.

Mr Lantis was born December 20, 1871, in Preble County, Ohio to David and Nancy Flora Lantis. He Married Dora Smith October 23 at Zanesville.

Surviving are the widow, two sons, Ernest Lantis, this city, and Clarence "Scoop" Lantis, Warren; five grandchildren, Mrs Joan Thompson, Warren; Mrs Fred (Virginia) Guthier, Angola; Mrs Hugh (Jeannette) Hartman, Mrs Homer (Louise) Buzzard, Fort Wayne, and Mrs John (Dorothy) Stocksdale, Indianapolis; 20 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Mary Hoover of this city. A sister and 3 brothers are dead.

Funeral services were held in the Robbins Funeral Home with Rev Ivan C Odor officiating. Music was by Mrs Rosada Stewart at the organ.

Pallbeareres were Richard Hartman, William Guthier, Gary Thompson, Gregory Schenkel, Max Wooster and Marvin Smith. Burial was in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
