Narrative
[Obituary for Blanche Trullender, from the Muncie Star Press, 29 Aug 1972, p2.]
[headline] Blanche Trullender Dies in New York
Mrs. Blanche H. (Evon) Trullender, 51, wife of Robert E. Trullender Sr., 2118 Viginia Ave., died early Monday at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, N.Y. She had been in failing health for the past two years.
Born in Newark, N.J., she had lived in Muncie since childhood and was a graduate of Central High School. Until poor health forced her retirement she had been employed for 10 years in the office at Warner Gear, and at one time had worked at Sears.
Mrs. Trullender was a member of the Baptist church, but had been attending Gethsemane United Methodist Church. She was a life-long member of Phi Chi Epsilon Sorority.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Robert E. Trullender Jr., St. Angelo, Tex., and Ronald Trullender, Muncie; her mother, Mrs. Mamie Carey, Muncie; three brothers, Gene Carey, Lawrence, Vernon Carey, Costa Mesa, Calif., and Robert Carey, Muncie; a sister, Miss Valere Carey, Muncie; and two grandsons and a granddaughter.
Serices will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Meeks Mortuary. Burial will be in Elm Ridge.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and prior to services Thursday. It is requested that memorials be directed to the Delaware County Cancer Society.
