Narrative

William's birthdate as reported on his WWI draft card is 25 May 1873; the article on his father Harmon in the text History of Huntington County, Indiana (1887) erroneously gives the date as 23 May 1873.

It should be noted as well that there appear to be multiple men named William Kaylor in Indiana, all born in the early or mid 1870s, and two of them even managed to marry women with the same first name (Willimina, both nicknamed "Minnie") of nearly the same age. The William Kaylor in our family tree (son of Harmon Kaylor) married Minnie Cordill, while the other fellow married Minnie Bender.

I've not found a death record of burial location yet for William, though I suspect he is buried in the same cemetery as his wife upon her death in 1938. His death seems to have occurred between 1920 and 1930 - the latter is the year in which Minnie was counted as living widowed and alone in the census.
