Virginia M. Henry, 72, of Oconomowoc, passed away July 30 at her home.
She was born May 12, 1928, in the town of Merton, daughter of Benjamin Miles and Mary (Burg) Miles.
She married Charles Nehls, who preceded her in death, in 1947 and Harrold Henry, who also preceded her in death, in 1975.
She was a former employee of Wagners Jewelry of Oconomowoc and a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Oconomowoc.
Se was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #91, past unit president, past county president, past district secretary and treasurer, and past state sergeant at arms; a member of the Catholic Women's Club, Oconomowoc Historical Society and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by her brothers-in-law, Neilan "Pat" (Joyce) Nehsl, Sun City, Ariz., Richard (Ruth Ann) nehls, Oconomowoc, and the Rev. Joseph Henry, Baraboo; sister-in-law, Patricia (George) Miller, North Lake; her very good friend, Joyce Degner, Oconomowoc; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Charles Nehls in 1970 and Harrold Henry in 1978.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Aug. 3, at St. Jerome Catholic Church. Father John Yockey will officiate. Burial will be at La Belle Cemetery, Oconomowoc. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. memorial Mass at the church.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Legion Auxiliary Unit #01-Oconomowoc or the charity or organization of donor's choice.
The Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, Oconomowoc, is serving the family.
