Note: Victor Leland Mansfield's spouses and children

I have not found much complete information on Victor's wives and children at this point, but I will list here what I do know thus far.

The first record found that shows Victor married with children is the 1920 US Census record for his parents' household, where in addition to his parents he was counted with his California-born wife Kathryn and two daughters, Rose and Kathryn. In the 1930 US Census, he was counted in a household of his own (though still in Defiance, Defiance Cty, Ohio) with his wife and daughters and a young son, Edward. This is the last confirmed record I have found for either of his daughters.

In the 1940 US Census, his wife Kathryn and son Edward were counted in Toledo, Lucas Cty, Ohio; Kathryn's marital status was given as divorced. (This is the last confirmed record I have found for Edward or Kathryn.) Victor, though, was still living in Defiance, this time counted in an addendum to his parents' household, with his status also given as divorced.

Victor's late 1973 Ohio death record lists his status as married, and he appears to be buried with a Sara T. Mansfield, who followed him in death slightly more than two years later.

I have not found any marriage records for Victor to either Kathryn or Sara, nor do I know either woman's parentage or maiden names. I have also not found vital dates or a burial location for his first wife, nor confirmed vital dates or burial locations for any of his three children. I have found no marriage records for the three of them naming Victor as their father. At this point, it seems reasonable to assume that at least one of his children married and had children of their own to carry on their father's line, but I have found no confirmation of this.
