CRICKMORE, Cletus A. - Of Grand Blanc, age 71, died Friday, December 10, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Monday, December 13, 1999 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Gerald Hodgeson and Reverend James D. Lougheed officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make contributions to Flint Baptist Temple Building Fund or the Ostomy Society of Flint. Visitation 5-9PM today and 1-4 and 6-9PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Crickmore was born in Flint, Michigan on November 20, 1928, the son of Clyde and Leoma Crickmore and was a resident of Flint and the Grand Blanc area all of his life; graduating from Grand Blanc High School in 1948. He married Mary Belle Thompson in 1950 and she preceded him in death in 1984. He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Goodknecht-Hodgeson in June, 1988. Mr. Crickmore was a member of Flint Baptist Temple. He enjoyed bowling, roller skating, coaching softball, and volunteering at Flint Baptist Temple. He participated in the Golden Gloves in 1948. Mr. Crickmore retired from G.M. V-8 Engine Plant after 30 years of service, in 1978.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara; 2 children, Michael Crickmore, Mary Catherine and husband Mike Oxley; 3 grandchildren, Michael and James Crickmore and Michael Oxley; 3 step-children, Rick and wife Peggy Hodgeson, Debra Bombe, Tina and husband Kurt Hausbeck; 7 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Frank; niece, Debbie and nephew, Mark Frank. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Doug Frank.
