Services for Edward C. Oberley, 81, of Zulu was in the Marquart Funeral Home, Monroeville and in the St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon. Burial was in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. Oberley, ill since early spring, died in Parkview Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since June 1. A native of Allen county, he and his wife, Lucy, operated a restaurant and service station in Zulu for 30 years. His wife died 30 days ago. He was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Bernice Johnson, Monroeville, Mrs. Celeste Thomas and Miss Audrey Oberley both of Zulu; one brother, Russell, rural Monroeville; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
