Fred R Chaney, 47, died at 4:45 o'clock Monday afternoon at Irene Byron sanatorium, where he had been ill for four months.

Mr Chaney was born in Huntington county. He lived in this city at 1017 Van Buren street and was formerly employed by the Dudic Manufacturing company.

Surviving are a daughter, Miss Juanita Chaney, this city; step-mother, Mrs Sara Runyan, Roanoke; three half-brothers, Valdo Chaney, Royal Oak, Mich; Thomas Chaney, Zanesville and MM Chaney of this city; one step-brother, Ralph Runyan, Roanoke. The body will be taken to the home of MM Chaney at 2323 Opeechie Drive, in Indian Village, this afternoon.

Services Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock (DST) from the home and at 2 o'clock (CST) at the United Brethren church in Roanoke, with Rev SM Macklin officiating. Burial will be in Roanoke.
