PORTLAND - Mrs. Tillie Imel, 80, former Jay County resident, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Freda Shaw of Ft. Wayne. Mrs. Imel had been ill about a month.

She was the widow of Thomas M. Imel. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Freda Shaw, Mrs. Russell Shaw and Mrs. Andrew Degler, all of Ft. Wayne; five sons, Ora A., John F., and Gerald, all of Ft. Wayne; Edward, Decatur; Belva L., of Ossian; 29 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Williamson Funeral Home, Portland, until Friday morning. The body will be returned to Ft. Wayne to the home of Mrs. Degler where friends may call until noon Saturday.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the New Pittsburgh Praise Chapel Church of God with the Rev. Arthur Grant and the Rev. Ballard Johnson officiating. Burial will be in New Pittsburg Cemetery.
