Burton (Burt) C. Harmon, 58, Rt. 2, died at his home at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8. He had been in failing health four years.
Born Sept. 19, 1912 in West Virginia, he was the son of Edward and Clara Powers Harmon. He was married to Armilda Baker, who survives.
He was employed by the Marion Power Shovel. He served overseas during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, LeRoy, Richwood; three daughters, Marlene, Plain City, Mrs. Marvina Shark, Richwood, Marsha K., Columbus; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John Shamblin, Richwood, Mrs. Evelyn Henson, Bluffton, W. Va.; three brothers, Wiley, Clifford, Oshel, all of Bluffton, W. Va.
Funeral services were held Sunday in Ballinger Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Carroll officiating. Burial was in Price Cemetery.
